Discover Griff Rhys Jones’ Trehilyn

Set in 70 acres of farmland, our Trehilyn properties are only a mile from the dramatic Pembrokeshire coast.

The 1830s farm estate derives its name from Heilyn, son of Gwyn the Old, a Welsh hero who appears in the medieval Mabinogion stories.

Trehilyn was restored by TV presenter Griff Rhys Jones and family, in consultation with our very own UTT director and architectural historian, Greg Stevenson.

Why not rent the whole estate for a magnificent get together (sleeping up to 22 or 25 in summer when the Showman’s Wagon is in use)?

Or treat yourself to a break at the one of the individual cottages below…

Sleeping 9 people, this is the combined farmhouse that can also be let as smaller units (Trehilyn Uchaf and Trehilyn Isaf).

Our best selling holiday cottage, Bwthyn Trehilyn is a 19th-century miller’s cottage set in a peaceful location at the end of a track. It sleeps 6 and is dog friendly, as are all of the Trehilyn cottages.

Melin Trehilyn is a Grade II listed historic mill with a bronze-clad modernist extension. It sleeps four and combines the old with the new perfectly.

This delightful cottage with a wonderfully styled interior sleeps 5. It was converted from a stone dairy and cowshed and is all on ground level. From April to October you can request the use of the Showman’s Wagon – a big hit with children and adults alike!

Love Trehilyn – have stayed at Uchaf, Isaf and Bwythn Trehilyn over the years, and was lucky enough to have a nosey at the Granary as it was being finished off in early March just before lockdown. Looked wonderful. Would love to stay there sometime….hope the rest of this year goes smoothly now (and that you managed to make that kitchen table EXACTLY the right size in the end!!)
